Silent Viewer Analysis
Most of an audience never types. Silent Viewer Analysis lists the people who were present in your chat without sending a single message, and shows how often they have done that before.
What you can do
- A list of every viewer who was present during the stream but never sent a message.
- For each one: how many times they have visited, how many streams in a row, how long they watched this time, and how long ago the last visit was.
- First visit date, average watch time per stream, and how many messages they have sent in the past. A viewer who used to chat and stopped reads differently from one who never has.
- First-time visitors are marked, and subscription tier is shown next to the name.
- Bot accounts can be excluded so that the list is only people.
- The same list appears while you are live and on the detail page of a past stream, so it can be read during the stream or after it.

How it works
Being in chat and speaking in chat are two different signals. StreamScouter records both, and a viewer who turns up in the first but not the second is silent for that stream.
Visit counts and streaks come from the same record across your earlier streams, which is why those numbers grow the longer the account is connected.
The list sits in the chat statistics: on the live page while you stream, and on the stream's detail page afterwards.

Frequently asked questions
Where do I find it?
In the chat statistics, on the live page while you are streaming and on the detail page of a past stream. The live demo shows the same section on sample data.
Are anonymous viewers included?
No. A silent viewer is a signed-in Twitch account that was present in chat without speaking. Viewers who never sign in are not identified by Twitch at all.
Is it part of the Free plan?
Yes.
What am I supposed to do with the list?
A viewer who has turned up for several streams in a row without speaking is already interested. Reading the name out, or asking them something directly, is usually all it takes.
